13 short days and we will be headed to San Francisco to board a plane for a 30+ hour journey to Mozambique Africa. It has been fun over the past few months since we were accepted to Harvest School getting to know people from all over the globe that are attending school with us. As you know we booked our flights and leave the 26th out of SanFran and fly overnight into New York I (Tawnya) wish that we had a LONG layover here so we can see the city but we don't its short and we jump right onto another plane and fly to Johannesburg South Africa on the 27th arriving the 28th. (I do want to tell you that my birthday is the 27th and I will spend the ENTIRE day on a plane.) Once we arrive in JoBurg we board a plane to Pemba and we have the opportunity to meet two young ladies that are traveling alone to Harvest School, on is from Texas the other Redding - at the airport in Pemba to stay at a neat little place called Pemba Dive and Bush (sounds dumpy) it is a neat place and has free activities that I think the kids will like - we are renting a chalet for the night and get to take HOT showers since we wont have that luxury at school, it will be nice to relax for a day before heading to the Village of Joy where we will be until we fly home on December 29th. Eric is hunting he did get a nice buck again this year we have 13 days to get our lives here in order, we have just about everything that we need to get to Pemba and will try and purchase other items that we need there. We received an email last night that told us to wrap or lock our luggage with no breakable locks because there is a chance that our bags will arrive empty to Pemba, theft is a big issue in the airports in Africa so we are going to have to figure that one out. It will be quite the circus act watching our family of 4 in the airport since Lincoln and Haley are to little to drag bags we get to do it all plus Eric's guitar and our carry-Ons LORD HELP US.
We are beyond excited that the time is actually RIGHT AROUND THE CORNER. Again thank you to everyone that has donated or prayed for us. we appreciate this and it is extremely humbling to be in a place of reliance since we are both now un-employed and asking for help. God is a good Daddy and he as proven just that. If you have not and would like to partner with us by making a donation you can click the tab below, we are also looking for some monthly support to help get us back on track when we come home so that we can get things sold and airline tickets back to return full time, these details will be known at a later date but if God places it on your heart to begin sponsoring us monthly now click the link below as well. Blessings and my next Blog should be from PEMBA MOZAMBIQUE AFRICA!!!! The Weavers
